Funnybones set to be tickled at Sixways comedy night

Worcester Editorial 19th Nov, 2013 Updated: 19th Oct, 2016   0

A RIB-tickling night of first class stand-up comedy is in store at Sixways stadium next weekend.

Three top acts will take to the stage on Saturday, November 30, for what promises to be a night to remember.

Host Comedian, Rhodri Rhys, has moved swiftly since joining the comedy circuit and can now be seen regularly as an act and compére in London, across the UK and internationally.

The opening act, Alfie Moore, made his name on the ITV programme Show Me The Funny in 2011. An original and distinctive comedian with his niche area as a serving police sergeant, Alfie brings a wealth of insights and comedy moments from his 18 years on the beat where a keen sense of humour has been the key to his success and survival.

Headlining is true old school stand-up and master of the one liner, Martin Beaumont, who can handle anyone from drunken grannies to boisterous rugby players.

In 1998 he won Time Out Comedian of the year and his career took off from there.

Also an actor, his credits include The Bill and Casualty, a four year advert as the comedy spy for the Government’s EMA campaign and more recently he can be seen in the “What else do you do?” Quick Fit commercials.

As a comedian he plays the top clubs all over the country and this in turn has led him to be asked to play gigs all over the world.

The night includes a sumptuous festive turkey feast and mulled wine.

Tickets cost £25, doors open at 7pm with the show set to start at 8.30pm.
