BLONDIE fans are in for a treat when a critically acclaimed tribute to the celebrated 1970s American rock band heads to Worcester as part of a major UK tour.
Bootleg Blondie, the official Debbie Harry and Blondie tribute, will perform at Huntingdon Hall on Friday, where fans of the legendary rock band will be immersed in an unparallelled live show.
Officially endorsed by Debbie Harry, Bootleg Blondie have even had Blondie’s charismatic drummer Clem Burke play live with the band and are the only tribute to have played at the world-famous CBGB in New York, the holy grail of American new wave where Blondie kicked off their career.
Bootleg Blondie have performed at the Isle of Wight Festival, London’s 100 Club and Electric Ballroom, whilst even being name-checked on Blondie’s new album ‘Pollinator’.
Lead vocalist Debbie Harris has the looks, the voice and the same outrageous stage presence as the charismatic original with her live shows boasting several outfit changes, from thigh length boots to dustbin liners!
This is an unmissable chance to roll back the years to the very best of new wave and punk.
The event starts at 8pm and tickets cost £15.50.
