Stream of jokes heading this way

Worcester Editorial 17th Feb, 2016 Updated: 19th Oct, 2016   0

POPULAR English comedian Gary Delaney, a regular on Mock The Week, is known for his endless flow of short sharp jokes.

Appearing on such comedy shows as Dave’s One Night Stand, Comedy Central’s The Comedy Store and Comedy Blue, and on Channel 4’s Roberts Web, he is a double Sony Award winner and Chortle Award nominee.

He has written for many TV programmes like 8 out of 10 cats, Mock The Week, 10 O’clock Live and A league Of Their Own.

Despite being a big name in TV, Gary enjoys smaller shows in Arts Centres and Theatres (as well as club gigs and corporate gigs), so the beautifully intimate and quirky Huntingdon Hall should be right up his street when he pays Worcester a visit this February.

His debut show in 2010 at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival was a sell out every night.

He returned as part of a tour in 2013, and the tour continued into 2015 as more dates were added due to high demand.

Gary thinks a good joke should be like a drunk Glaswegian: short and punchy.

His new tour show is not only great for people who like lots of jokes but also fun for people who enjoy getting offended by jokes too.

Recommended for comedy lovers aged 16 and above, Gary Delaney – There’s Something About Gary will be at Huntingdon Hall tomorrow (Thursday) at 8pm.

Tickets are £15 from the Box Office on 01905 611427 or visit www.huntingdonhall.co.uk
