Wishbone man brings all the hits

MARTIN Turner, founder of British rock group, Wishbone Ash, will play at Huntingdon Hall this Saturday.

Formed by West Country musicians, Martin Turner and Steve Upton, who arrived in London in 1969, Wishbone Ash was one of the most enduring and best loved British rock acts.

Wanting to create a sound that was rich in texture and melody, Martin Turner envisaged the band’s distinctive harmony guitar style which turned into millions of record sales and successful concerts, making them a band to influence musicians everywhere.

Written in the Stars – Live Dates 2015/16 introduces brand new music from the acclaimed new album Written in the Stars, alongside stage favourites and classic album cuts from the extensive Wishbone Ash repertoire.

Founding lead vocalist and key creative force Martin Turner continues to perform the band’s best loved works with his current line-up.

Written in the Stars is a melodic and moody album that maintains qualities of the Wishbone Ash sound in the mix, with its unmistakable twin guitar melodies and raw vocal harmonies.

The tracks have a bluesy edge, but maintain the infectious classic rock attitude, and the Wishbone Ash chills.

Martin Turner ex Wishbone Ash – Written in the Stars will be at Huntingdon Hall on Saturday, May 14 at 8pm.

Tickets are £17.50 available from the Box Office on 01905 611427 or www.huntingdonhall.co.uk
