THERE could be more bobbies on the beat in Worcester and Malvern after it was announced West Mercia Police is to receive an increase in investment.
The force has received news of a provisional allocation of almost £450,000 to support the recruitment of officers.
The first cohort of 93 extra officers across the three counties of Worcestershire, Hereforshire and Shropshire is due to be in place by March 2021.
A further 215 are due to be in post by the end of this year
