A WOMAN in her 40s has been arrested on suspicion of murder after an incident on Green Lane.
Police launched the murder investigation after the woman was pronounced dead at a property in Merrimans Hill on Tuesday (March 9).
Officers were called to the address just after 10.40am where a woman in her 60s was pronounced dead at the scene.
A woman in her 40s was arrested on suspicion of murder.
Det Insp Dave Knight said: “We have offers in the area providing reassurance to the local community, but we believe this to be an isolated incident.
“A police cordon currently remains in place while our inquiries continue.”
