Brewing up some fun

A WORCESTER care home is inviting the community to its 1940s themed tea party in aid of a national charity.

Staff and residents at Sanctuary Care’s Regent Residential Care Home in St John’s will be donning their frocks and getting the kettle on for this year’s ‘Time for a Cuppa’ event on Thursday, March 2, in support of Dementia UK.

The School Road care home will also treat visitors to live music from the 1940s themed ‘Poppy Sisters’ at 11am.

Time for a Cuppa is Dementia UK’s annual fund-raising event where people come together for a cup of tea to raise money for the charity, which will be used to fund Admiral Nurses and specialist dementia nurses to provide care, advice and support to families living with dementia.

The event runs from 10.30am to 3.30pm and there will hot drinks and snacks in return for a donation to Dementia UK.
