Chance to find out more about keeping well

Worcester Editorial 4th Feb, 2021 Updated: 4th Feb, 2021   0

A FOCUS group for residents interested in boosting health and wellbeing services in Worcestershire will take place in March.

The County Council, which is looking to build on its Here2Help service, is yet to announce an official date for the Zoom meeting.

But its aim is to provide a new service hub that ’empowers people in communities’ and ‘strengthens support networks’.

It’s hoped the hub will support all ages and be available for residents, organisations and staff to access information, advice, tools, guidance and local support in an interactive way.

Councillor Lucy Hodgson, cabinet member for communities, said: “We’re looking for residents who want to make a real difference to their community, and the wider county, by helping shape some of the wellbeing services we provide.

“A service that meets the needs of our residents. One that can easily be accessed to ensure the right support can be provided at the right time.

“We need you to help us get that right.”

Residents will meet in regular focus groups for positive discussions on how to improve local services.

Coun John Smith, cabinet member for health and wellbeing added: “We’re looking for residents who are willing to share their views and ideas and work in partnership with us to look for solutions.

“We need the help of a newly-formed focus group to raise awareness of provided services in their local areas and help us shape some of the health and wellbeing services we provide in the future.”

Those interested in taking part must fill out a form at www.worcestershire.gov.uk/here2helpfocusgroup before the end of February.
