Checking mental health

Worcester Editorial 15th Feb, 2021   0

MENTAL Health services remain open and available for people in Worcestershire who need support.

Herefordshire and Worcestershire Health and Care NHS Trust provides mental health services across the two counties.

This includes the Healthy Minds Service which supports adults who are experiencing common mental health difficulties, such as stress, anxiety, low mood or depression.

The service offers a free, self-referral service providing a range of talking therapies including group and one-to-one therapy, online courses and self-help resources.

Due to the pandemic, the service is running virtual group activities at the moment, which residents can join remotely from home.

Healthy Minds can also provide people with access to an online course called Silvercloud.

This course is free and can easily be completed at residents’ own pace and can fit it in around work or family commitments.

If you think you need some support contact the Worcestershire team on 0300 302 1313.

You don’t need a referral from a GP or another healthcare professional first.

You can also complete the self-referral form online by visiting www.healthyminds.whct.nhs.uk – here you will find lots of other useful information and guidance to support you with your mental wellbeing.
