AN AWARD-WINNING group of young professional singers will perform in a Worcester church as part of their major UK summer tour.

The Gesualdo Six will stop off at St Martin’s Church, on London Road, this Sunday (September 4) to perform music from the renaissance period to present day.

Group director Owain Park said: “We’re really looking forward to visiting Worcester on the last leg of our summer tour.

“We have friends in the Worcester Cathedral Choir and we’re delighted to have discovered the lovely church of St Martin.

“Our programme for the concert will contain a real mix of repertoire, from our speciality of renaissance polyphony, to folksong arrangements from around the British Isles. “It really does offer something for everyone and the tour itself publicises the work of and helps support local churches.”

The concert will run from 3pm to 4pm and tickets cost £8 for adults and is free for children under 18. Visit www.thegesualdosix.co.uk/summer-tour-2016 for more information.
