A PAIR of city fund-raisers helped scoop more than £800 when they hosted their Family Fun Day in Claines.
Callum Davies and James Underwood have been taking part in a series of activities in a bid to collect £30,000 for a Sensory Garden to be built at Green Hill Lodge.
More than 100 people turned out last Sunday (September 28) to enjoy a barbeque, bouncy castle, live music, face painting and a raffle at the New Inn.
The event was organised by pub manager Keith Newby and raised a total of £830.
Callum said: “Keith really went above and beyond the call of duty to put on an excellent event to raise money for the appeal.
“The success of the family fun day is a testament to Keith’s ability to manage a family orientated pub. Everything from the amount of people that turned out to the atmosphere which was electric.”
