A WORCESTER man has admitted killing a woman whose body was recovered from the River Severn earlier this year.
Charles Byrne denied murdering Christina Rowe between February 9 and 10 this year but did admit her manslaughter.
The 24-year-old, of Waterworks Road, appeared at Warwick Crown Court via video-link on Tuesday (June 1). During the hearing he denied the attempted murder of another person who cannot be named for legal reasons.
Police cordons were placed around addressed in Waterworks Road, Cheviot Close and on the Diglis footbridge following the incident on February 10.
A search of the River Severn began and officers discovered the Ms Rowe’s body later in the same evening.
Byrne was remanded in custody and will stand trial at Worcester Crown Court on November 29.
