Come and join in all the fun

Worcester Editorial 16th Aug, 2018   0

A FREE family fun day is being held at the Guildhall as a summer treat for local children, parents and carers.

Mayor of Worcester Coun Jabba Riaz will host the event on Saturday (August 18) from 10am to 3pm as committee meetings make way for fun and games, face painting, glitter tattoos, sports and a bouncy castle.

Visitors will be asked to make a small donation to the Mayor’s charities for the bouncy castle, face painting and glitter tattoos.

“With the summer holidays in full swing, this is a great chance for local families to enjoy fun and entertainment in one of Worcester’s most iconic buildings,” Coun Riaz said.

“I want to thank everyone who has worked so hard to set up this great day, especially BEEZ Bouncy Castle Hire, who have donated a bouncy castle free of charge for the day.

“If you’ve never visited the Guildhall before, this is a great chance to discover a really beautiful building in the heart of Worcester with an incredible history. We’ll be running free tours, and you’ll even be able to go into spooky cells under the main building.”

The day will also include an opportunity to be photographed with the Mayor and his sword bearer, in return for a donation to the Mayor’s charities; St Richard’s Hospice, Worcester Community Trust and Worcester Live.

During the Family Fun Day, Worcester Live will be staging a range of musical performances outside the Guildhall, as part of the Worcester Festival.
