A PAIR of renowned soap stars took the time out from filming to help relaunch a travel agency in Worcester.
The newly-renovated Midcounties Co-operative Travel store in City Arcade was unveiled on Saturday, February 4, with the help of Coronation Street’s Alan Halsall and his wife Lucy-Jo Hudson.
Visitors were given tours of the store’s modern new-look, which offers a private lounge for customers booking luxury holidays.
As well as meeting the soap stars, attendees also participated in a ‘name the bear’ competition, where proceeds went to St. Richard’s Hospice.
Danny Callaghan, store manager at Midcounties Co-operative Travel, said: “The renovation of the store has created a contemporary space for customers to enjoy while booking their holiday.
“The addition of the private lounge upstairs adds an extra layer of excitement for customers booking luxury holidays. It was great to mark the opening with Alan and
Lucy-Jo, who were really friendly and spent time talking to our guests and taking pictures with them.
“The new store is open seven days a week and our colleagues are ready to help customers plan their dream holidays.”
