A DRIVER was arrested for several offences after a lengthy police pursuit from Worcester to Malvern.
Several police teams were involved in the chase including the Gloucester Police Special Operations, Local Policing Priority Team – South and the Worcestershire Operational Policing Unit.
As the chase progressed, the officers on the ground were kept updated by the the National Police Air Service (NPAS) helicopter which tracked the suspect vehicle.
The pursuit, which happened yesterday (Thursday), was eventually brought to an abrupt end on the B4104 when South Worcestershire Police officers used a stinger on the car to bring it to a standstill in Malvern
The driver was held after being found to be banned from driving, wanted for three thefts of fuel and a Crown Court Warrant was in place for his arrest.The police said it was a ‘great team effort’ between the different units.
