A ‘EGG-CITING’ Easter workshop will kick off a springtime programme of a fun at a popular Worcester performing arts group.

The All Sorts of Performing Arts Studio based at Medway Community Centre has opportunities available to Worcester’s budding stars throughout 2022.

The school supports students in building confidence, learning new skills and addressing confidence issues.

An Easter Workshop is taking place from Monday (April 11) to Thursday (April 14) with lots of exciting activities for children seven years and over which includes dance, sports, adventure walks, arts and crafts and many more activities.

Enthusiastic, passionate children who want to develop their performing arts training to an Advanced Level All Sorts are looking to develop a brand new competition team to perform at festivals in 2023.

Brand new film editing and stage management class for those 11 years old and above has also started. Students are set a project to film, source costumes and learn Stage

Management skills for live performances and online projects by creating a storyboard and script prior to filming.

They will then film and finally edit the production for sound and continuity, adding in effects. The production will then be pieced together for distribution to a targeted audience. A great class for older students who are interested in progressing their IT, organisational and visual effects skills.

Lastly, a Community Coffee morning will be starting in May. This free coffee morning is a great chance for the local community to get together, offer support, share tips and ideas, help combat loneliness and isolation.

Principal Stuart Inglis said: “During the lockdowns we provided online lessons throughout. We filmed dance fitness, arts and crafts, productions and showcases which were sent to local care homes.

“We also filmed and submitted two sets of examinations. Our staff, students, parents and volunteers have been extremely supportive and we are looking forward to developing the school to the next stage.

“We are applying for various grant funding to have new sprung flooring in our studio space and have many more exciting opportunities in the pipeline!

The school will be performing Oliver in 2022 and are looking for chorus members to sing and dance in the production.
