Enjoying sweet success

Worcester Editorial 6th Aug, 2019   0

COUNCIL cash has led to sweet dreams being realised by a city couple who celebrated their first year anniversary on Worcester’s High Street.

Michelle and Mark Rasdall pocketed £1,000 in a start-up grant from Worcester City Council to enable them to open the doors on Mr Simms Olde Sweet Shoppe.

The pair, who have been together for 32 years, decided to take early retirement and pursue a new joint venture in the heart of Worcester together. Michelle had previously run a full time ballet school in Cambridge and Mark was a writer and historian.

“Our first year of trading has been a lot of fun, but really hard work,” Michelle said.

“We are loving running the business and our new life in Worcester. If you haven’t visited us yet, come on down and give your taste buds a treat they’ll never forget!”
