HIGH TEA was served up after a Worcester care home scooped a ‘good’ rating from the country’s health and social care watchdog.
Sanctuary Care’s Juniper House Residential Care Home, in St Johns, received the rating following an unannounced inspection by regulator Care Quality Commission (CQC).
Inspectors judged the Oak View Way home to be caring, well-led and effective, with ‘kindness at the heart of it’.
And to celebrate, residents and staff hosted a high tea party with cakes on Wednesday (April 5).
Hilda Hines, a 105-year-old resident, said: “It was great to celebrate as it really is wonderful here. I love the food and always feel very safe here.”
Cindy Hawkins, Juniper House manager, said: “I have an absolutely amazing team here who genuinely care for our residents as they were members of their own family, so a new CQC rating is a testament to them and the fantastic care they provide.
“The positive comments in the report from our residents and their loved ones are truly heart-warming to read and something I will be forever proud of,” she added.
