Financial support to help businesses re-open

Worcester Editorial 18th Apr, 2021   0

COUNCIL chiefs have taken the wraps of grants of up to £18,000 for businesses in Worcester to help with the costs of re-opening.

Last month the Chancellor announced further grant funding for councils to support businesses affected by the Coronavirus pandemic.

The ReStart Grant scheme is open for applications between now and June 30.

One-off grants of up to £6,000 are available for non-essential retail premises with a rateable value of between £15,000 and £51,000.

The Restart Grant will also support hospitality, accommodation, leisure, personal care and gym business premises with one-off grants of up to £18,000.  To qualify, the premises must have a rateable value of between £15,000 and £51,000.
