Flood Warnings in place across Worcester

FLOOD waters continue to rise as Storm Imogen sweeps the city.

Emergency services have warned to say safe on the roads and not to drive through floodwater as there may be hidden dangers.

The Environment Agency released flood warnings for the River Severn, at 11am today (Tuesday) Worcester Gauge was at 4.37 metres and rising slowly, expected to reach a peak level between 4.4 and 4.7 metres tomorrow (Wednesday).

Diglis Gauge was at 4.02 metres and rising slowly with a peak level of between 4 and 4.3 metres.




The water level at Kempsey Yacht Gauge was 6.3 metres and rising, with a peak level of between 6.2 and 6.5 metres.
