THE HIVE is set to present a series of free talks and activities on all things science during British Science Week.
Suitable for all ages, The Hive’s Science Night will take place tomorrow (Thursday) between 5pm and 8pm and will feature free talks on a variety of topics including microscopy, computers, robotics, DNA and the science of ice-cream.
Demonstrations on interactive engineering, robot programming and historic medical implements will also be at the library, as well as a science quiz with prizes, two Mad Science Show performances and the opportunity to have your photo taken with Darth Vader.
Janine Downes, Library Manager said: “Whilst we are advising pre-booking for our talks and Mad Science shows you can just turn up to see and take part in the demonstrations on level 0.”
The Mad Science show, aimed at children aged five to14 years, is a fun mix of experiencing science visually and interactively that is both entertaining and educational.
The first show is at 5.30pm and the second at 6.15pm.
Tickets cost £3.50 for adults and £3 for children and can be booked online at www.thehiveworcester.org/family-events.
