Goodbye and thanks to Julie for three decades of care

A WORCESTER hospital waved goodbye to a much-loved nurse after more than three decades of service with a retirement party at Worcestershire Cricket Club.

Mum-of-two Julie Wild bid farewell to friends and colleagues during the celebrations and reflected on a career which began at Spire South Bank Hospital on Bath Road in 1986.

Julie has held a number of positions at the hospital before she became hospital matron and head of clinical services.

Before cutting her specially-designed cake Julie thanked everyone at the hospital and said although she would miss everyone she was looking forward to spending more time indulging her passion for travel and holidays.

Hospital director Simon Milner said: “We will certainly miss Julie’s ‘voice of reason’ but mostly we will miss her enthusiasm for the job and the expertise she brought to everything she was involved in.

“She had a genuine love for her patients and was also a great person to work with, always professional and always supportive.
