THE GREAT-GRANDMOTHER who formally opened Worcester’s multi-million pound new library is to welcome a new addition to the family.
Her Majesty the Queen is said to be delighted at the news the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are expecting their third child next year.
The monarch formally opened in the Hive in 2012 along with the Duke of Edinburgh during a visit to the city which also included a celebration lunch at the Guildhall and a service at the city’s historic cathedral.
It is believed the Duchess is suffering from acute morning sickness Hyperemesis Gravidarium which she had when she was pregnant with George and Charlotte.
The unborn child will become the fifth in line to the throne.
Kensington Palace said in a statement this morning: “Their Royal Highnesses the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are very pleased to announce that The Duchess of Cambridge is expecting their third child.
‘The Queen and members of both families are delighted with the news.”
