Have your say on SEN policy

Worcester Editorial 15th Apr, 2021   0

PARENTS and carers are being urged to have their say on how Worcestershire County Council can improve services for children with special educational needs.

Worcestershire Children First (WCF) wants to hear people’s thoughts on Special Educational Needs and Disability (SEND) services that are currently available in the county.

The anonymous survey, released annually, is once again open to all parents and carers in Worcestershire.

The county council says it will help the authority and WCF to evaluate the services currently available and will be used to highlight what is working well and what can be improved going forward.

Once the deadline has passed, residents’ data will be analysed and a summary report will be produced for partners and carers.

The report will outline what has been done and how the county council will make changes as a result of the feedback.

The ‘SEND Improvement Parent Carer Survey’ has been co-produced by Families in Partnership and WCF.

To view last year’s survey – ‘You Said, We did’ – visit Worcestershire Children First’s website.

Or to take part in this year’s survey, head to: www.worcestershire.gov.uk/info/20546/local_offer_news_and_updates where you will also find useful information about the annual scheme.

Closing date is Sunday, April 18.
