Help the hospice as VIP rugby fan

Worcester Editorial 8th Feb, 2020   0

RUGBY fans can enjoy VIP treatment when Worcester Warriors and Acorns Children’s Hospice host their annual charity matchday next weekend.

Acorns and Warriors have again teamed up to help fund the charity’s vital work caring for life limited and life threatened children with a fund-raising extravaganza at Sixways for the visit of Bath in the Gallagher Premiership next Saturday (February 15).

Ticketholders will not only be able to enjoy the clash from the North Stand, but can also enjoy a question and answer session with Warriors legends, a meal and the chance to win some fantastic prizes in the comfort of the Acorns charity lounge.

Amy Deakin, partnership fundraising manager at Acorns, said: “You’ll get to see two of the region’s biggest clubs go head to head and enjoy the atmosphere of the North Stand as well as dine in the style in our charity lounge – all while raising money for a fantastic cause.

“We have such an incredible partnership with Warriors and we’re so grateful to the club and supporters, who get behind us time and time again, especially as we rely on the local community to raise the majority of the funds we need to continue our work caring for children and families.”

Warriors managing director Peter Kelly said: “Acorns does incredible work in helping children across the region, and as a club we are extremely proud to support the charity with a fund-raiser when we welcome Bath to Sixways.”

“We are really looking forward to the charity matchday and I’m sure everyone will get right behind this great organisation to help make a big difference.”
