A COUNTY estate agent is fully focused on ‘business as usual’ after ensuring all its staff were quickly set up to work from home during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Nicol & Co, which has offices in Worcester and Droitwich, has shown its resilience by using the latest technology to keep operations running smoothly during the current self-distancing restrictions.
The company requested its staff to work from home more than a week ago but to continue holding team meetings in the usual time slots by utilising live Zoom online video software and answering calls to the office via mobile apps.
Meanwhile, property valuations have carried on using Nicol & Co’s remote video technology resulting in new instructions, with sales and transactions also still taking place.
Matt Nicol, managing director of Nicol & Co, said: “I’m so proud of the way all our staff have instantly adapted to this huge challenge.
“The latest technology means we have always been able to work from home when needed, and so the whole company found it easy to accommodate the necessary restrictions imposed for health and safety reasons by COVID-19.
“Our digital phone system was a huge investment originally, but it’s now paying dividends as each team member has company calls coming through an app on their mobile which doesn’t use up their credit or display their personal number.
