Jewellery and antiques stolen in City burglary

GOLD jewellery and antique cutlery have been stolen from a property in Worcester.

West Mercia Police are on the hunt for an offender, or offenders, who are believed to have forced entry into a property in College Green through a rear window, sometime between 6pm on Saturday, December 31 and Wednesday (January 4).

An old gold fob watch with a bloodstone seal, a gold pendant set with pearls and a circular silver broach with shoots of leaves are believed to have been taken.

A set of antique dessert knives and forks with mother of pearl handles in a case, were also reportedly stolen during the burglary.




Investigating officers are keen to hear from anyone who is offered items for sale, matching the description of the stolen goods.

Anyone with information should call West Mercia Police on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111, quoting incident number 061S of December 7.
