JOB hunters with a passion for food are being invited to get in touch with a pub which is reopening near Worcester.
The Crown Inn, in Hallow, is due to reopen this month after being closed since Christmas and its managers are on the lookout for people to join the pub’s catering team.
Marc Eeley, general manager, said the pub had been given a subtle makeover and its major recruitment drive ahead of reopening had been successful – although there were still some opportunities for chefs and kitchen staff.
He said: “We have been really pleased with the response to our recruitment campaign and everyone is looking forward to reopening in August.
“Our front-of-house team is nearly complete, but there are some vacancies in the kitchen – so we are issuing a call for anyone with a passion for food to get in touch with us.
“Previous experience is not essential, and we can provide an excellent training programme for those new to the industry. What’s more important is your attitude – if you have a willingness to learn and an enthusiasm for food and catering, then we want to hear from you.
“The pandemic has made people change their perspective on life and a lot of people have embarked on a change of career – if you have always thought about working with food, this is the perfect opportunity to give it a go.”
