MAYOR of Worcester Coun Allah Ditta will host a free event at the recently refurbished Battenhall Rise play area to celebrate the start of the school holidays.
Face painting, goodie bags and healthy snacks will be available for the first 100 children who come to the Battenhall Rise play site on Saturday (July 20) between 10am and midday.
Council chiefs have revamped the play area, installing new swings, a see saw, balance beam and climbing equipment.
The area is ideal for pre and primary school aged children and has been resurfaced to improve safety, and is decorated with colourful and interactive floor markings.
The work was carried out in partnership with St. Peter’s Parish Council.
