Making music ahead of possible new bandstand

Worcester Editorial 19th Apr, 2017   0

WORCESTER residents are being invited to a musical family fun day in Cripplegate Park.

For the first time ever, a bandstand will be constructed in the southwest side of the park to host a Music Pavilion Fun Day today (Wednesday) and Saturday (April 22), where there will be free face painting, live music, lawn games and miniature musical instruments to play.

Cripplegate Park hosts musical events each summer, but has not been able to offer a purpose built performance space.

The new bandstand will be accessible for wheelchair users and when it is not being used for performances, the public can use it as a welcoming place to gather out of the rain or hot sun.

The fun days will run from 10am to 2pm.
