AN APPEAL for information has been issued after a man was stabbed on The Foregate in the early hours of this morning (Sunday).
The victim was taken to hospital for treatment for two stab wounds after the incident in the city centre at 4.25am.
A man is believed to have stabbed the victim and chased him down Angel Street to The Cross. The offender is believed to have gone down St Nicholas Street towards The Trinity.
DS Chris Buffery said “We believe this is an isolated incident, the victim has been treated in hospital for two stab wounds.
“We are appealing to anyone who may have seen this incident or have information that might help our enquiries.
