The attack took place on Thursday (July 9) between 5.30pm and 8.30pm at Worcester Woods Country Park, in Nunnery Wood.

Police are appealing for information and have released the description of a man they want to speak to in connection with the crime.

He is a white, middle-aged man with grey hair and was wearing blue jeans.

Det Chf Insp Neil Austin, who is overseeing the investigation, said: “Additional patrols will remain in place in and around the Countryside Park and Spetchley Woods areas until further notice.

“This is without doubt an alarming and distressing incident and specially trained officers are continuing to support the victim.

“I would like to thank members of the public who have already been in touch with police for their assistance in the investigation.

“I also ask anyone else who may have been out walking at the time of the incident to get in touch with us.

“You may have seen something which could help us to bring the offender to justice.”
