Need a fill up? Here’s the cheapest fuel prices in Worcester

Worcester Editorial 28th Jun, 2022   0

DRIVERS are again keeping an eagle eye on petrol prices following the spike in the cost of living.

It comes as the cost of filling an average family car continues to be more than £100 and amid the ongoing war in Ukraine.

According to the RAC, the average price of petrol rose to 191.05p per litre on Sunday (June 26), while the average for diesel rose to another record high of 198.94p per litre.

This means the average cost of filling a typical family car now exceeds £100, coming in at 103.79p for petrol and 108.13p for diesel.

In March, the government cut fuel duty by 5p a litre for a year, but the RAC has called for more help for motorists with either a further reduction or a VAT cut.

Together with www.petrolprices.com we’ve rounded up the cheapest places to get petrol and diesel within five miles of the city. Prices are updated daily so click on the link for the most up-to-date figures.
