No need to book ahead for vaccination at Worcester clinic

Worcester Editorial 17th Jul, 2021   0

WORCESTER’s pop up vaccination clinic at St Peter’s Baptist Church is now accepting walk-in as well as booked appointments.

People aged 18 and over do not need to book ahead to get a COVID-19 vaccination and don’t need to be registered with a GP to access the vaccination.

Those who have not received a first dose of a COVID-19 vaccination are being particularly encouraged to attend this walk-in clinic.

The clinic will be open from Monday to Saturday 8am to 7pm throughout July and both the Moderna and AstraZeneca vaccinations are available.

Public Health in Worcestershire, and NHS Herefordshire and Worcestershire Clinical Commissioning Group are working together to make it easier and more convenient for people to get vaccinated.

Simon Trickett, Chief Executive Officer for NHS Herefordshire and Worcestershire CCG said: “We are now able to offer vaccinations to people over 18 without a prior appointment making it even easier to get your jab.

“Vaccination is so important, not only because it protects the person receiving the vaccine, but it also helps to protect loved ones and the community.

“We hope those people who have not come forward yet, will find this more convenient to get their first COVID-19 vaccination.”
