A CELEBRATION of South Asian culture and heritage will hope for second time lucky when it comes to Worcester.
A group of budding volunteers and professionals have been working hard to create a Worcester Mela for the city next year.
Last weekend was billed see a taster of what is to come, with a mini extravaganza as part of the Worcester Festival but rain forced organisers to postpone the celebration.
But with a hope for better weather, organisers including Coun Jabba Riaz have re-arranged the gathering for tomorrow (Saturday) with three 30 minute performances at 11am, 12.15pm and 1.30pm outside the Guildhall
The Mela festival is designed to bring people together from all walks of life to celebrate ‘togetherness’.
It is also an opportunity to showcase some of the traditional music and entertainment that is part of the Asian community in the city.
