POLICE are appealing to talk to two men connected with an “unprovoked and violent” assault in Worcester last year.

CCTV footage has been released showing a man sleeping on the pavement on The Trinity being physically assaulted by the men at approximately 3:15am on Friday, November 6 2015.

The offenders are then believed to have walked off in the direction of St. Nicholas Street and it is believed that both men had been in Bushwackers nightclub prior to the unprovoked assault.

The victim did not sustain serious injuries but was left shaken from the incident.

PC Catherine Broadfield said “This was an unprovoked and violent attack against a vulnerable man. We are keen to hear from anyone who may have witnessed the assault or who may recognise the men in the images to please contact police. This was a despicable act and behaviour like this will not be tolerated.”

Police would like to speak to the men in the images to assist with their enquiries.

If you recognise either of the men or have any information about the incident, please call police on 101, quoting incident 529S of November 6, 2015.

Alternatively, information can be given anonymously to the independent charity Crimestoppers by calling 0800 555 111 or via their website.
