POLICE have released more CCTV images of a group of men they want to speak to in connection with a pair of burglaries which took place in the city earlier this week.

The first incident is believed to have happened between 2.30pm and 4.15pm on Monday (June 30) at Hillside Close when the occupiers were out.

The burglars forced entry through a rear window and then stole £200.

The second took place between 2.50pm and 4.30pm at Camphill Road where the residents were also out. They reported the crooks had got in through the back door and stole money and Asian gold jewellery.

The items taken were 24 carat gold large hoop earrings, four gold rings, one with a single flower pattern, one had three joined hoops, and the other two are identical but smaller for a child combined.

A 24 carat gold beaded chain with a set of matching earrings was also taken.

Also stolen were necklaces with names ‘SAMIA’, ‘NAVEEN’, ‘UZMA’.

Anyone who can help in identifying the three white men seen in the picture, described as between 30 and 40 years of age, wearing dark clothing and acting very suspiciously, or recognises the jewellery in the pictures should call police on 101.

They were spotted on CCTV cameras at 3.23pm walking at speed towards London Road.

Alternatively people can give information anonymously by calling Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 or by logging onto www.crimestoppers-uk.org.
