DETECTIVES have re-appealed for information following a rape in Warndon Villages last month.
An artist’s impression was released of a man police would like to speak to in connection with the incident which occurred between 2am and 4am on Wednesday, June 15 on a public footpath between Woodgreen Drive to Plantation Drive.
The individual is described as an Asian man of a slim build with black hair and a fringe. He was about 5ft 11ins tall and thought to be in his mid-twenties.
At the time of the incident he was wearing a black zip-up hooded top, black tracksuit bottoms, and reported to have had a mild Indian accent.
Investigating officer detective constable, Alistair Mulcaster, said: “Following the release of the artist’s impression last month we have had a number of responses from the public. I would like to thank everyone who called us and provided information.
“We are continuing to investigate this matter and I would again like to appeal to the community for help in identifying the man in the image.
“I would ask anyone who was driving or walking near to Woodgreen Drive and the surrounding area on Wednesday 15 June to try recall if they remember seeing anyone acting suspiciously.
“It may be that you dismissed something at the time but any information you have could prove vital to our investigation.
