A RENEWED appeal for information on a devastating fire which destroyed a home and garden centre in Worcester in the summer has been made by police.

An estimated £1million worth of damage was caused when JMart off Newtown Road went up in flames in the early hours of Monday, July 28.

Police want one witness in particular to come forward. A man was seen at the front of the premises at 10.55pm before the incident occurred.

He is described as white, aged 20 to 30, with short dark hair, about six foot tall and of a big build. He was wearing a white hooded top and blue jeans.

He walked off in the direction of Newtown Road but may have diverted into the alley that leads onto the Ronkswood Estate.

If you are this man or have information on the incident, contact police on 101.

Alternatively, witnesses can contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111 or via www.crimestoppers-uk.org
