A PROLIFIC thief has been slapped with a two-year Criminal Anti Social Behaviour Order (CRASBO) in a bid to curb his offending.

Mateusz Ferenc, of Gamekeepers Drive, was given the order last Thursday (October 2) following a theft on July 7. The 26-year-old was also given a six-week prison sentence, suspended for 12 months.

The CRASBO prevents Ferenc from drinking alcohol or being in possession of opened alcohol in a public place, behaving in a manner likely to cause any person in a public place alarm, harassment or distress, refusing to leave any premises or land forming part of the premises when told to do so by someone having lawful authority to do so, to spit in a public place to cause alarm or distress and to be in any unoccupied premises without written permission from the owner or landlord.

He is also banned from entering The Hive, Sawmill Walk, The Butts, Asda in St Martins Quarter, Sainsbury’s in Swanpool Walk, Sainsbury’s in Windermere Drive, Iceland in Friary Walk and Marks and Spencers in the High Street.

A breach of the order could see Ferenc jailed for up to five years.

Sgt Carl Jones said: “Ferenc has caused considerable anti-social behaviour in Worcester city centre over the last 12-18 months, we are pleased to see this order go through in the hope that it will protect the public from his behaviour.

“If any member of the public witnesses Ferenc breaching his order we urge them to call 101 to report it.”
