REGULARS at a Worcester pub have dug deep to help raise more than £7,000 for St Richard’s Hospice.

The Plumbers Arms in Worcester, run by licensee Christine Williams for more than 13 years, has raised £7,183 with a string of events held at the pub over the last 14 months.

St. Richard’s Hospice is an independent charity which cares for adults with a serious progressive illness, improving their quality of life from diagnosis, during treatment and to their last days as well as looking out for their loved ones.

Caring landlady Christine hosted a range of events and activities including quiz nights, meat raffles and tombolas for locals and has been incredibly grateful for the support shown.

“I’m incredibly proud of the team’s efforts of the over the last year in raising a huge amount of money for St. Richard’s Hospice, a fantastic local charity that is close to our hearts,” she said.

“We are overwhelmed by the support we’ve had from the Worcester community for our events and we couldn’t have reached our fundraising milestones without them!”

Business Development Manager at Admiral Taverns, Rachael Dixon said: “Christine and her team have done an outstanding job to raise money for this deserving cause.

“The Plumber’s Arms is a fantastic example of a community pub going above and beyond for its locals and the team should feel proud with their achievements after all the hard work.”
