Pub returns after flash flood damage

A MUCH-LOVED pub in Bransford has opened its doors for the first time since it was severely damaged during flash flooding earlier this year.

The Fox Inn, part of the Chef and Brewer collection of country pubs, has benefitted from a full restoration following the widespread flooding in Worcestershire earlier this year.

Nestled on the bank of the River Teme, the Fox Inn has been an attractive and historic feature on the riverside since 1884.

As well as a full interior restoration, the pub has introduced a new menu and as well as opening for eat-in diners, the pub will also provide a takeaway service.

Alan Dearden, general manager at the Fox Inn, said: “I am delighted with the new look at the Fox Inn.

“It’s a fantastic pub in a thriving part of Worcester and having lived in the area most of my life, I am excited to welcome the local community to come and enjoy the pub again.

“The support from the local community has been overwhelming and I want to personally say thank you to them for their patience and interest whilst the work was being completed.

“I promise you the wait is worth it and I am so proud of what we have achieved as a team and are now able to share with the public,” he added.
