WORCESTER children splashed the cash for charity when they jumped in a city pool in their pyjamas.
Child swimming company Puddle Ducks, invited youngsters and parents to its annual fund-raising pyjama party on Monday (October 19) at the Whitehouse Hotel for charity, as part of a week-long focus on water safety.
Money this year was raised for Libby Mae’s Little Angels, a local family-run charity who support 19 neonatal units across the Midlands.
Puddle the Duck also made an appearance and joined in with the valuable water safety skills children and parents learnt from the educational and fun activities.
Kate Attwood, from Puddle Ducks Worcestershire said: “We’re really happy to be combining support for a great cause with our pyjama parties.
“Being in water in clothes helps children to realise how it could feel if they got into trouble while out playing.
“In a controlled environment in a pool they can learn how to cope with this situation, so if it unfortunately happened out there in the real world, they’d be more equipped to deal with it.
“Our award winning teachers are trained to recognise and work with different ability levels within the same group, so babies and toddlers are given an individually tailored swim programme that builds their confidence and lets little ones learn at their own pace.”
