A CITY company has raised £1,000 for an ambulance charity close to its heart.
ISO Quality Services Ltd held their event called ‘15 in 2015’ at Browns at the Quay by the River Severn in the heart of Worcester on June 18 to raise money for The Midlands Air Ambulance.
The employees raised the funds through raffling off prizes that were donated by other local businesses. This raised £800 and the company owners then donated the extra £200 towards the cause.
They delivered their cheque to the charity in person on July 23 at the Strensham Airbase and were able to meet the pilots and look around.
Jennifer Appleton, ISO Quality Services Ltd operations director, said: “The Midlands Air Ambulance looked after my Grandma fantastically in her hour of need and ever since then we have felt it important to support them as a company whenever the opportunity has arisen.”
The Midlands Air Ambulance needs £6.5million to respond to the 2,000 calls they receive every year.
They rely completely on donations and fund-raising events from the public and other organisations.
