Worcester Editorial 19th Dec, 2017   0

FATHER Christmas has been joined in his Crowngate Shopping Centre Grotto this year by his festive elves.

As well as helping Father Christmas, the elves are hosting free workshops for local children and families to attend all week until Christmas Eve.

Santa’s Workstation will be located in Friary Walk within the shopping centre near Iceland. The workshops will include a number of activities.

Today will be games galore with the elves while the gingerbread creation station will be on show on Wednesday.

Storytelling and Christmas colouring with Mrs Claus will be on offer on Thursday while toys will be tested on Friday.

Creative city youngsters can build Lego with the elves on Saturday while the final workshop of the season on Christmas Eve will be to design a Christmas Eve pillow case.

Father Christmas’ chief Elf said: “We love being in our grotto in Crowngate; everyone is really friendly here!

“Santa’s workstation will be so much fun, with different activities every day and we can’t wait to meet all the children!”

Crowngate centre manager Erica Burlace said: “Father Christmas and his elves have been really busy in Crowngate this year.

“Parents and grandparents are most welcome to bring their children to the free workshops – some magical Christmas fun is definitely promised!”

Santa will also be available to meet in his grotto on Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 10.30am to 4pm.
