CLASSROOMS costing more than £1.8million have been opened by the chairman of Worcestershire County Council.

The construction and refurbishment included three new classrooms with group learning space and cloakrooms and the expansion of the original hall.

This development formed part of the county council’s capital investment programme which aims to create more pupils places in Worcester.

This project has added accommodation to a popular and achieving school.

Head teacher Sue Mason, said: “The school community is delighted with the works that have been done, and, after the inevitable period of disruption, are very much enjoying the opportunities that these improvements have provided.

“The school buildings and grounds are now extremely impressive, and offer accommodation in which children can learn, play and thrive.”

Coun Hopwood said: “It was a great honour to open the new £1,890,000 extension. The pupils, who are very hard working, now have an excellent environment to work and develop in. These new and exciting buildings, will

“I am sure, benefit pupils for many generations to come. The county council has a well-deserved track record in providing sustainable public buildings and our schools are no exception.”
