A POPULAR Worcester venue has extended its opening times as the heatwave continues in the city and across the UK.
The Splashpad in Gheluvelt Park will be open until 6pm from today to help city residents young and old cool down in the soaring temperatures.
A City Council spokesman said: “When the sun is out there are few better ways to relax in Worcester than playing in the super-popular Splashpad.”
“It’s normally only open to 6pm during the summer holidays, but with temperatures soaring we know children and families will enjoy the chance to have a splash at the end of the school day.”
