STUDENTS at a popular Worcester school laced up their running shoes for the annual five and 10km races.
Tudor Grange Academy hosted their annual event on Friday, October 2 and saw 137 students participating in the off road course.
Staff have organised this event for the last four years with participation growing each year and all who crossed the finish line received t-shirts, medals and a special goodie bag.
Organiser Chris Dent, said: “We wanted to make this year special by making the event run in line with larger events.
“This year’s event was used to raise money for the British Heart Foundation.
“Parents and members of the community supported the event and took part in the raffle and even a photobooth.
“It has been another fantastic turnout and students have embraced the challenge with enthusiasm. “We encourage students to take part whatever their ability and they can ‘walk, run or race’- the event motto.
“Many even complete the course in fancy dress.
“The atmosphere was amazing and we were very lucky to have the sun shining on us all afternoon. “We’ve begun planning next year’s event all ready but couldn’t put on such an event without the support of academy staff and parents and the community,” he added.
