THERE were more than ducks on show during the cricket at New Road when a swan stopped play during Worcestershire’s game with Northamptonshire.
After the visitors first three batsmen were dismissed for zero to record ‘golden ducks’, the feathered friend made his appearance as if to celebrate the moment.
Following a few laps of the outfield, the intrepid visitor brought an end to his ‘fowl play’ and headed back to the familiar surroundings of the River Severn.
But the result was far from s-wanderful for Worcestershire who were given the bird by their visitors who emerged with a 22 run victory.
