Taking to the dancefloor to celebrate leavers’ day

AS THE SCHOOL year draws to a close, year 11 students at Bishop Perowne CE College celebrated their achievements during a special leavers’ day.

After a day of celebrations, the students then took to the dance floor to say a fond farewell to teachers and peers at their leavers’ ball two days later.

The students were treated to a celebratory breakfast to start their last official day of school, followed by an emotional final assembly which looked back on the students’ time at Bishop Perowne.

Students then donned their finest outfits and headed to Spring Grove House at West Midland Safari Park. They enjoyed a red-carpet arrival, buffet and non-alcoholic cocktails, as well as dancing to a DJ. A photo booth with accessories was available for students to make fun memories to last a lifetime.

Jane Price, headteacher at Bishop Perowne CE College, told the Observer: “Over the past two years our Year 11 students have had to deal with many extraordinary circumstances.

“Everyone at the school has been so proud of how they have adapted and just got on with their learning.

“They thoroughly deserved to be celebrated and recognised for their achievements, and we wish them all every success with their future endeavours.”
